HORSEHEADS — The Horseheads girls’ lacrosse team got off to a fast start as they beat Corning 13-6.
Ellie Jankowski had four goals and an assist for Horseheads and Lauren Kozemko had four goals.
Lexi Lese, who got her 100th career assist last game, had four more assists, with two goals for a six-point game.
Harley Ackerman had a goal and an assist and Emma Guzylak and CarLynn Sindlinger each had goals in the game.
Kate Rought had eight saves for Horseheads.
Horseheads led 7-2 at the half on their way to the victory.
Brynna Walsh had three goals and an assist for Corning and Kennedy Driscoll had two goals and an assist.
Aubrey Rose had a goal and an assist, while Roni Nevins and Jillian Wood each had goals in the game.
Karina Swarthout had six saves for Corning and Leslie Scudder had three saves.
Horseheads won 14 draw controls, while Corning won 10.
