Southern Tier Sports ReportWHITNEY POINT — The Notre Dame baseball team fell behind 9-2 after two innings and rallied back, but came up short 10-8 against Whitney Point on Monday.
Notre Dame got four in the fourth to get within 9-7, but they weren’t able to come all the way back.
Anthony Barkley had two hits, with an RBI and three runs scored and Casey Kraeger had a hit and an RBI.
Malachi Cain had two hits and scored a run and Sam Club and Gabe Capriccio each had hits, while Johnny Piet and Colin Strong scored runs.
Strong struck out eight on the mound.
