Southern Tier Sports ReportHORSEHEADS — The Horseheads softball team team was edged by Maine-Endwell on Monday night, 3-2.
The Spartans led 2-0 after two innings. They went up 3-0 in the fifth, before Horseheads got two runs back in the bottom half of that inning.
Presley McInnis had two hits, with a double, a dan RBI for Horseheads and Braelyn Beach and Kolby Chaffee each had hits, with Chaffee and Caitlin Yearick scoring runs.
Reese O’Herron struck out four and allowed seven hits and three unearned runs in the complete game on the mound.
