Southern Tier Sports ReportENDWELL — The Elmira softball team was edged by Maine-Endwell on the road on Wednesday night, 7-6.
Maine-Endwell jumped out to a 6-1 lead after two innings, but Elmira fought back and had the tying run on second to end the game in the seventh inning.
Aledia Agosto had a home run, with two RBI and Ava Cornacchio had three hits, with a double, and two runs scored.
Madelyn Cavalier had a double among her two hits, with an RBI and a run scored, and Rylee Gonzalez had two hits with a run scored.
Annabelle Decker had a hit and scored a run and Cate Lambert had a hit.
Maddi Smith struck out three in 3 1/3 innings and Cornacchio threw 2 2/3 innings of one hit, one run ball, striking out two.
