ELMIRA — Liam Ward shot a two-under 34 to help the Notre Dame boys’ golf team stay unbeaten in division play with a 168-183 win over Newark Valley on Thursday at Mark Twain.
Ward posted the lowest score by a Notre Dame golfer so far this year and the Crusaders posted their low score as a team this year.
Ward shot eight shots better than anyone else on the day.
Dylan O’Toole had a 42 and Jacob Steed, Ethan Wheeler and Evan Parker all shot rounds of 46 on the day. Archer Choi shot a 59.
Isaiah Keith shot a 42 to lead Newark Valley and Troy Bloomberg had a 44. Brady Woods shot a 48 and Jackson Hoover had a round of 49.
Austin Green shot a 51 and Troy Stebbins had a 60.
Notre Dame is 4-0 in the division and 6-1 overall this year.
