Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Corning Hawks boys’ tennis team picked up a 6-1 victory over Susquehanna Valley on Thursday night.
In first singles Derek Guo of Corning won 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) over Mitch Latini and at second singles Palmer Gendron won 6-3, 6-2 over Bryan (Taekyu) Lee.
In third singles Corning’s Kaeden Martinez won 6-1, 6-2 over Grayden Emerson and at fourth singles Dongkyu Lee of Corning won 6-0, 7-5 over Brayden Kaczynski.
Ethan Smith and Jose Manuel Umanzor won at first doubles for Corning 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (11-9) over Steven Henry and Ethan Eagle.
At second doubles Gabriel Boutwell and Adam Scott of Corning won 6-4, 7-5 over Aiden Ruffo and Giano Lisi.
In third doubles Corning’s Alec Wyrick and Aditya Aiyar won 6-1, 7-6 (7-1) over Gavin Connors and Sam Burkhardt.
