Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Horseheads flag football team completed a suspended game against Corning on Wednesday, topping the Hawks 12-0.
The game was stopped do to thunder and lightning in the original matchup. On Wednesday the teams avoided thunder and lightning, but played on a rainy night.
Sydney Blunt scored on a 20-yard touchdown catch from Emma Drake to end the first half.
Blunt then scored on a 40-yard punt return in the second half on a reverse from Peyton Butts.
Maggie Sullivan, Alexxa Johnson and Cailee Rosen lead the team in flag pulls.
