Southern Tier Sports ReportHORSEHEADS — The Horseheads tennis team celebrated senior day with a 5-2 victory over Corning on Monday night.
In first singles Dom Wood of Horseheads won 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 over Derek Guo and at second singles Horseheads senior Joe Juan won 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 6-3 over Taekyu Brian Lee.
At third singles Lincoln Choo of Horseheads won 7-5, 5-7, 7-5 over Kaeden Martinez.
Corning’s Paul Lee won 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 6-2 over Ketu Patel at fourth singles.
Senior Jacob Nah and Joe wood of Horseheads won 6-2, 6-1 over Ethan Smith and Jose Manuel Umanzer.
Horseheads senior Ojaz Bhushan and Christian Scibek won 6-2, 6-4 over Adam Scott and Russell (Brad) Smith.
At third doubles Corning’s Aditya Aiyar and Alec Wyrick won 6-2, 2-6, 6-0 over Horseheads seniors Mark Mendez and Ashhad Kwaja.
