Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA HEIGHTS — Tanner Buchanan threw a one-hitter as the Edison baseball team beat Spencer Van-Etten 12-2 on Monday.
Buchanan struck out nine, allowing one hit and one walk in the game.
Niko Cheplick and Bently Stroman each had two hits for the Spartans in the game.
“Tanner has been pitching really well finishing this year,” Edison coach Chris Bennett said. “Has been a real bulldog out there. When he is pitching it gives us every opportunity to win.”
