STAC SOFTBALL: DECKER DRIVES IN WINNING RUN IN 8TH AS ELMIRA EDGES WAVERLY (2026-04-18)

WAVERLY — The Elmira Express rallied for a 12-11 eight-inning win over Waverly in softball action on Saturday afternoon. 

Annabelle Decker hit an RBI double in the eighth inning to help Elmira to the win.

Ava Cornacchio, Decker, Anna Osborne, Madelyn Cavalier and Aleida Agosto all had two hits for Elmira.

Decker had two doubles, five RBI and a run scored and Osborne had a triple and scored two runs.

Cornacchio had a double, an RBI and two runs scored and Cavalier scored a run, while Agosto had a double and scored two runs.

Cate Lambert had a double and an RBI and Rylee Gonzalez had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored. 

Grace Romeo scored two runs in the game. 

Cornacchio struck out three in 2 1/3 innings and Agosto struck out six in 4 2/3 innings.
