Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA — The Elmira girls’ flag football team fell to Binghamton 58-0 on Saturday afternoon.
“Right now, we’re young and inexperienced — and it showed. Binghamton is a seasoned team, and they took advantage of our mistakes. That said, our kids are competing. They’re showing up, they’re working, and they’re fighting to get better every single day. There’ son quit in this group.
“We’re going through some real growing pains right now, but that’s part of building something. You don’t skip steps in this process. We’re going to stay consistent, keep coaching, and keep demanding more. This group is learning what it takes, and those lessons matter. The future is very bright, we just have to be tough enough to go through this first part.”
Elmira returns to action at U-E next Saturday.
