Southern Tier Sports ReportCorning graduate Angie McKane had a strong showing at the 2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships.
McKane, who made nationals with two of her teammates, became the first women’s swimmers for Army to compete at the national meet since Army women’s swimming and diving began Division I competition in 1991.
McKane, a sophomore, kicked things off for Army as she competed in the 100 butterfly prelims. McKane finished in 51.48 in heat three to finish fourth in her heat and 19th overall.
McKane swam in the 100 backstroke prelims and finished third in her heat and 49th overall in 53.19.
