Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA HEIGHTS — Paxton Hoover had a big game at the plate to help lead the Edison baseball team past Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour 15-5 on Friday night.
Hoover had a home run and two doubles, driving in four runs and scoring two on the day.
Niko Cheplick had two hits, with two RBI and three runs scored and Braedyn Gulich had two hits, three RBI and two runs scored.
Bentley Stroman had two hits, with two RBI and Tanner Buchanan had two hits and scored two runs.
Alijuawan Hall had a hit and scored a run and Jace Schiller and Camden Grover each scored two runs on the day.
Buchanan worked 5 1/3 innings, allowing three hits and striking out eight. Cheplick struck out one in 2/3 innings.
