CORNING — The Corning Hawks pulled out the win in a third-set tiebreaker at second singles to edge Horseheads 4-3 on Thursday night.
It was a second straight three-set win for Bryan (Taekyu) Lee at second singles.
Lee won the deciding second-singles match 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (9-7).
Dominic Wood of Horseheads won 2-6, 7-5, 6-4 over Derek Guo at first singles.
In third singles Lincoln Choe of Horseheads won 7-5, 6-0 over Jose Manuel Umanzor and at fourth singles Dongkyu Lee of Corning won 6-1, 6-2 over Ketu Patel.
In first doubles Corning’s Gabriel Boutwell and Adam Scott won 6-3, 6-2 over Ojas Bhushan and Jacob Nah.
In second doubles Horseheads’ Christian Scibek and Hollo Wood won 6-1, 6-2 over Alec Myrick and Aditya Aiyar.
In third doubles Corning’s Russell Smith and Riley Rosenbaker won 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 over Mark Mendez and Maxwell Doty.
