Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Corning and Ithaca baseball game was stopped due to darkness with the game tied at nine.
The game was stopped in the top of the seventh inning. Corning led 7-4 after four innings, but Ithaca scored five in the fifth to take a 9-7 lead.
Corning got two in the sixth to tie the game.
Andrew Welch, Nate Bretch, Noah Hutter and Jay Richards had two hits each. Welch had a pair of doubles and Bretch had a double.
