DRYDEN — The Notre Dame baseball team rallied for a 13-12 win over Dryden on Wednesday night.
Notre Dame led 2-0 after the top of the first, but Dryden tied things in the bottom half of the inning.
Dryden got two in the second and a run in the third to go up 5-2.
Notre Dame scored six in the fourth to take a 8-5 lead, before Dryden got two back in the bottom half of the inning.
The Crusaders went up 10-7, before Dryden got a run back in the bottom of the fifth.
In the sixth Notre Dame went up 13-8, before Dryden got four runs back. Notre Dame stranded a Dryden runner in scoring position in the sixth and then Dryden got a runner to third with one out in the seventh, but the Crusaders kept the tying run from crossing the plate.
Casey Kraeger struck out two in 3 1/3 innings and Colin Strong struck out three in 3 2/3 innings.
Jhamez Boyd, Kraeger, Malachi Cain and Brendan O’Brien all had two hits for Notre Dame.
Kraeger and Boyd each had doubles. Boyd had an RBI and four runs scored and Kraeger had three RBI and three runs scored. Cain had two RBI and a run scored and O’Brien had three RBI.
Strong and Anthony Barkley each had a hit, with Strong scoring twice and Barkley scoring a run.
Colton Welch had a double and an RBI and James Lincoln had an RBI and a run scored, while Johnny Piet scored a run.
