SECTION 4 BOYS' LACROSSE: ND/WG EDGED BY JOHNSON CITY (2026-04-02)

Southern Tier Sports Report
JOHNSON CITY — The Notre Dame/Watkins Glen boys’ lacrosse team was edged by Johnson City on Thursday, 8-7.

“What a difference we had in two days and two games,” Notre Dame/Watkins Glen coach Geoff Crossley said. “We were down six players due to injuries, sickness and spring break. These players came out and played a full 48 minutes. Right from the start we went after every loose ball, grinded and worked every aspect of the game.

“Unfortunately we came up just short with JC scoring the go-ahead goal with 27 seconds left after we tied it after being down 7-5. Couldn’t be prouder of this team and the resilience they showed after Tuesday’s game.”

Finn Schweizer had three goals and two assists and Landon English had two goals and three assists.

Matt Keough had a goal and an assist and Chris O’Brien had a goal.

Declan Barry had 13 saves in goal for ND/WG.
