WAVERLY — The Corning Hawks girls’ golf team opened the season with a 201-215 victory over Waverly at Tomasso’s. 

Delaney Abel led Corning with a 40 and Harper Abel shot a 47.

Tess Barber and Kamryn Fuscare both shot rounds of 57. 

Caroline Welch and Zoe Martin had rounds of 74. 

Addison Hunt led Waverly with a 47 and Sophia Sileo shot a 51. Emilia Mitchell had a 57 and Alaina Nichols shot a 60.
