SECTION 4 BOYS' LACROSSE: HORSEHEADS PICKS UP 13-4 WIN OVER VESTAL (2026-03-31)

HORSEHEADS — The Horseheads boys’ lacrosse team notched a 13-4 win over Vestal on Tuesday night. 

Horseheads led 4-2 after one quarter and 6-3 at the half. They then outscored the Golden Bears 7-1 in the second half in the win. 

Brogan Sullivan had a 10-point game to lead Horseheads. He finished with four goals and six assists.

Owen Johnson had two goals and two assists and Zack Bennett finished with two goals and an assist for the Blue Raiders. 

Ethain Bailey had two goals and Boe Briggs, Liam Kelly and Colin Phillips all had goals for Horseheads. 

Ben Potter had five saves for Horseheads and Briggs was 15-for-21 on face-offs. 

“I’m really proud of the effort we got from every single player tonight,” Horseheads coach Jason Neubauer said. “We are looking forward to getting back to work tomorrow for another quick turnaround on games.”

Troy Trowbridge had two goals for Vestal and Brodi Ahearn had a goal and an assist. Michael Hogan had a goal and Nick Hardy finished with an assist. 

James Newell had 16 saves in goal for Vestal. 

Horseheads is at Union-Endicott on Thursday.
