SOUTHPORT — The Notre Dame baseball team fell behind early as they fell to Trumansburg 11-3 in their season opener on Monday afternoon.
Trumansburg scored two in the first, before the Crusaders cut the deficit to 2-1 in the bottom half of the inning.
Trumansburg got four in the second and the third to pull away.
Malachy Cain had a hit and scored a run for Notre Dame and Anthony Barkley and James Lincoln each scored runs in the game.
Colin Strong struck out two in two innings and Casey Kraeger struck out two in an inning. Jhamez Boyd struck out three in three innings, allowing one run on two hits.
