Southern Tier Sports ReportJOHNSON CITY — The Corning baseball team scored two runs in the first on their way to a 4-1 win at Johnson City on Monday afternoon.
Andrew Welch threw five innings of two-hit ball, allowing a run and striking out 11. Preston Miller struck out two and allowed no runs on one hit in two innings. Miller also had three hits, with a double, two RBI and a run scored.
Zach Miller had a double and scored a run and Welch, Joe Kiczenski, Nate Bretch and Noah Hunter all had hits in the game. Jay Richards, Zach Miller and Carter Smithmen scored runs in the game.
