Southern Tier Sports ReportOne of the biggest four day stretches of the year kicks off as spring sports hits high gear this week.
With Good Friday on Friday the week quiets down on the weekend, but there are 52 events this week, 48 over the first four days of the week.

* Edison softball hosts Dryden, Notre Dame hosts Trumansburg, Horseheads is at U-E, Corning is at Vestal and Elmira hosts Johnson City.
* Edison baseball hosts Dryden, Notre Dame hosts Trumansburg, Horseheads is at Vestal, Corning is at JC and Elmira is at Binghamton.
* Elmira tennis hosts Maine-Endwell, Horseheads hosts U-E and Corning takes on Johnson City.
* Corning girls’ lacrosse hosts Binghamton.
TUESDAY (12)
* Notre Dame track and field is at Watkins Glen and Edison is at Whitney Point.
* Corning golf is at Waverly
* Edison tennis is at Notre Dame and Corning is at U-E.
* Elmira girls’ lacrosse hosts Ithaca.
* Elmira flag football is at Maine-Endwell.
* Notre Dame/WG boys’ lacrosse hosts Chenango Valley, Horseheads hosts Vestal and Elmira is at U-E.
WEDNESDAY (14)
* Edison softball is at Whitney Point, Notre Dame takes on Tri-Valley and Sauquoit Valley, Horseheads hosts Johnson City, Corning hosts Maine-Endwell and Elmira is at Binghamton.
* Edison baseball is at Whitney Point and Horseheads is at Maine-Endwell.
* Notre Dame tennis hosts Newark Valley, Elmira is at U-E, Horseheads is at Vestal and Corning is at Maine-Endwell.
