Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA — The Corning Hawks boys’ lacrosse team moved to 2-0 on the year with a 10-2 win over Elmira on Friday night.
Elmira struck first in the game on a Ryan Hughes goal, but Corning scored 10 of the next 11 goals in the win.
Kohl Hogue had four goals and an assist for the Hawks and Dylan Brewster had a hat trick.
Clayton Smith and Joe Fucito each had a goal and an assist and Taylor Freelove had a goal.
Landyn Proudfoot had seven saves in goal for the Hawks.
Hughes had both Elmira goals. Ayvry Tragaut Knoll had an assist for the Epress and Liam Ogden finished with 12 saves in goal.
