Southern Tier Sports ReportHorseheads graduate Casey Klossner, of Manhattan, was recently named the co-face-off specialist of the week for the MAAC Conference.
Klossner posted 11-of-14 from the faceoff X to ttoal 78.5 percent. He also scooped a season-high seven ground balls in a win against Wagner.
Earlier this season against Bucknell and Monmouth the Horseheads graduate combined for 11 face-off wins in 46 total attempts.
Last season Klossner played in 11 games with 40 ground balls, four turnovers and a face-off percentage of 41.6.
Klossner has one goal this year, against Fairfield, He has 47 ground balls, including a season-best 18 against Iona in their last game.
Heβs won face-offs at a nearly 50% rate at 75 of 158. He won a season best 22 face-offs, in 30 attempts, in the most recent game with Iona.
