Southern Tier Sports ReportSYRACUSE — Alex Gublo had an 11th place finish to lead three Elmira bowlers at the NYSPHSAA Individual bowling championship at AMF Syracuse Lanes on Saturday.
Gublo shot a 1,300 on the day for six games in Division I. He was just 30 pints out of fifth place on the day.
Gublo shot a 276-235-215-726 for his first three games, before a 176-200-198-574.
Logan Card finished 22nd for the Express with a 1,256 over six games. He shot 147-224-219-200-224-242, shooting 666 in his second three games.
Frankie D’Angelo was 32nd at 1,204. He shot 214-181-205-205-210-189 on the day.
There were 54 bowlers in the field.
