Southern Tier Sports ReportALBANY — Jaxson Burchard and Connor McAllister both won a pair of matches to advance to Saturday at the NYSPHSAA Division I Wrestling Championships.
McAllister won his opening match of the day 15-8 over Isaiah Magomedov of Edward R. Murrow. He dropped his next match 21-5, but came back with a 5-4 win in the werstle backs to advance to the blood round on Saturday.
Burchard dropped his opening match 9-4, but came back with a 3-0 win and then a 6-1 win to advance to the blood round.
