BINGHAMTON — The Elmira Express boys’ wrestling had two champions, and three state qualifiers, at the Section IV Championships on Saturday.
Scott Fairbanks won the 138-pound title. He won by technical fall 21-5 over Kole Zufall of Horseheads in the title match.
Lavonte Gibbons won the 144-pound title with a pin in 32 seconds over Blake Teeter of Corning in the final.
Hunter Paker was second at 126 to make states. The top two at even weights qualify for states.
Ben Guyette was sixth at 150. Cole Swanson was third at 157. Josh Johnson was fifth at 175.
Carter McKernan was fourth at 110. Nick Johnson was sixth at 118. Liam Ogden was fourth at 190. Brock Rosemark of Elmira was fourth at 285.
