Southern Tier Sports ReportElmira graduate Kaitlynn Place hit a grand slam for the Monmouth softball team in a recent game against Wofford.
Place had a grand slam in that game, and the following day she had two hits and an RBI against Wofford.
The Elmira graduate had a hit against IU Indy, her third straight game with a hit.
Place is hitting .333 going 4-for-12 so far this year, with five RBI.
The grand slam was the first home run for Place in her career. Her five RBI already match last year’s season total. Her four hits are already halfway to last year’s total.
