HORSEHEADS — The Horseheads Blue Raiders boys’ basketball team wrapped up the season with an 86-46 loss to Waverly.
Waverly hit a school-record 16 threes in the game.
Preston Harmer and Jack Starbuck each had seven points for the Blue Raiders.
Carson Bell and Jahvee Meisner both had six points for Horseheads and Naji Macklin and Lyncoln Bennett both had five points.
Elijah Miller had four points for the Blue Raiders and Nolan Parson and Deren Dubuque finished with three points each.
Waverly was up 25-3 in the first quarter on their way to the win. Hogan Shaw had four first-quarter threes, Jack Pipher ha three threes and Braiden Judson had a three as Waverly hit eight threes in a 34-point opening quarters.
Shaw led Waverly with 19 points, including six threes and Pipher had 11 points, with three threes. Juston had 10 points, with a pair of threes.
Bryce LaForest had three threes for nine points and Porter Dodonna had eight points, nine boards and a blocked shot.
