Southern Tier Sports Report Corning graduate Atalyia Rijo had a home run and two hits in Arkansas’ most recent game, a 21-3 win over Akron.
Rijo was 2-for-2 with three runs scored, three RBI and a home run in the game. In a game two days earlier against Akron she was 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. She scored a run against Virginia.
Overall this year Rijo has played in five games, going 5-for-13 with six runs scored and four RBI. She’s hitting .385 with a .467 on-base percentage for 4-1 Arkansas.
