Southern Tier Sports ReportVESTAL — The Elmira girls’ basketball team dropped a STAC matchup on the road at Vestal on Tuesday, 59-38.
“Tonight, unfortunately, wasn’t one of our better nights,” Elmira coach A’Don Allen said. “Our execution wasn’t where it needed to be and our effort was inconsistent.”
Mariah Matias had 12 points for Elmira and Meya Smith finished with nine points.
Ava Roberts had six points in the game and Zhamir Harris had three points.
Avery McCauley, Kayvonna King, Abbi Valicenti and ZyAsiha Cade all finished with two points.
