COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL: ELMIRA GRAD OVERCOMES INJURIES TO HAVE A BIG SEASON FOR COBLESKILL (2026-02-01)

Southern Tier Sports Report
Elmira graduate Cameron Rhode is having a big season for the Cobleskill men’s basketball season.

Rhode has had a difficult path to get to this point. In the second-to-last game of his sophoore year at Corning Community College he tore his ACL. After surgery, and months of rehab, he worked his way back and earned a spot at Division 2 Bellmont Abbey in Charlotte, NC.

However, right before his first practices he re-tore the same knee and had to go through the recovery process again.

Rhode is now at Cobleskill, competing again after dealing with multiple setbacks.

Over the weekend in a win over Johnson he had 23 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, two steals and a pair of blocks and in a loss to Lyndon he had 11 points, seven boards, five assists and two steals.

Rhode is fourth on the team this year at 7.8 points a game and third at 5.2 rebounds a game.
