Southern Tier Sports ReportTRUMANSBURG — The Notre Dame boys’ basketball team picked up a 72-69 double overtime win over Trumansburg on Friday night.
Max O’Connor hit the game-winning three with 24 seconds left to go in the second overtime, draining a shot from NBA three-point range right in front of the Crusaders bench.
Notre Dame is 12-2 on the year and ranked seventh in the state in Class C.
Rocco Sayers had a career-high 35 points for the Crusaders, with six threes. He had 10 points in the second quarter.
Landon English had a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds in the game.
O’Connor had eight points in the game and Finn Schweizer finisehd with six points.
Mike Sutryk had two points for the Crusaders.
