Southern Tier Sports ReportCorning graduate Jaxon Mahoney was named the Jersey Mike’s MAAC Men’s Rookie of the Week on Tuesday, following his two top-three finishes at the SPIRE Institute Midwest Open last week.
Mahoney took second in the men’s 800-meter run, crossing the line in 1:56. He was also part of their 4x400 relay team that took third in the event, finishing in 3:33.07.
