STAC BOYS' BASKETBALL: PROUDFOOT HAS CAREER HIGH 42, WITH 17 BOARDS AS CORNING WINS STAC WEST (2026-01-28)

CORNING — The Corning Hawks wrapped up the STAC West title as Nolyn Proudfoot scored a career-high 42 points in a 98-72 win over Ithaca.

Corning, ranked 27th in AAA in the state, moved to 13-0 on the year.

Proudfoot was 16-for-30 from the field, 6-for-6 from the line and 4-for-7 from three. He also had a huge double-double, grabbing 17 boards, and dishing out three assists, with a steal.

Kyler Stevenson had a 30-point game, with five rebounds and three steals. Stevenson missed just three shots from the field on the day, going 13-for-16 from the field. 

Kohl Hogue had 13 assists, with seven rebounds and nine points. 

Teigen Gill had nine points, four assists and a rebound. Carter Proudfoot had eight points, five boards, three steals and an assist.  

Corning hosts Oneonta at 7:15 on Friday.
