Southern Tier Sports ReportITHACA — Char Starns had 30 points as the Corning girls’ basketball team beat Ithaca 57-43 on Tuesday night.
It was 18-13 Coring after one quarter and 26-21 at the half. Corning scored 31 second-half points to pull away.
Starns had nine points in the opening quarter and 20 points in the second half, 11 in the fouirth quarter.
Evelyn Starns had 16 points, with two threes. The two sisters combined for all of Corning’s fourth-quarter points.
Deanna Shaddock had eight points for Corning and Kennedy Dirscoll finished with three points.
Sam O’Connor had 12 points for Ithaca.
