IAC WRESTLING: EDISON HAS ONE CHAMPION, TWO BOY'S RUNNER-UP FINISHERS AND ONE GIRL RUNNER-UP AT IAC CHAMPIONSHIPS (24 PHOTOS) (2026-01-25)

WATKINS GLEN — Edison had one champion, and two boys runner-up finishes and a girls’ runner-up finisher at the IAC Championships at Watkins Glen on Saturday. 

Golden was 3-0 to take the title at 175, he had two pins and a technical fall. It’s now his second IAC Championship of his career.

Mason Vanderhoff was second at 110, he went 2-1 with a pin and a technical fall. His loss in the finals came to Tioga’s Declan McKee, a state champion and three-time IAC Champion. 

Jace Schiller was second at 157. He was 2-0 in matches wrestled, with two falls, medically forfeiting the final. 

Rocco Franchi was third at 132 with a 3-1 mark on the day and Aiden Quackenbush was fourth at 165, going 2-2 with a pair of pins. 

Cameron Southard (126) was 2-2 on the day with a pin and technical fall win and lost int he blood round.

Andrew Smith (118), Colton Erickson (150) and Daniel Cruz (157) were 0-2 on the day. 

On the girls side Sydney Gibbs was second at 145, with a pin, and teammate Eden Bethel was third. Gibbs pinned Bethel in the match for second place.
