HORSEHEADS — Horseheads and Elmira each went 3-2 at the first ever STAC West/Metro Duals on Thursday night, while Corning went 1-4.
Waverly was 5-0 and took first place, followed by Horseheads, Elmira, Union-Endicott/Maine-Endwell/Vestal, Corning and Ithaca.
Horseheads opened with a 40-19 win over U-E/M-E/Vestal and Waverly beat Elmira 42-17. Corning topped Ithaca 30-4.
In round two Horseheads beat Corning 30-25, Elmira topped Ithaca 48-15 and Waverly beat U-E/M-E/Vestal 35-25.
Horseheads then beat Ithaca 30-15, U-E/M-E/Vestal won 34-23 over Elmira and Waverly topped Corning 41-19.
In round four Waverly beat Horseheads 34-25, Elmira topped Corning 40-25 and U-E/M-E/Vestal won 45-15 over Ithaca.
In the final round Elmira beat Horseheads 34-30, Waverly topped Ithaca 45-10 and U-E/M-E/Vestal won 35-30 over Corning.
In the win over U-E/M-E/Vestal the Blue Raiders got wins by Sonya Dordoni (fall at 114), Lily Gullo (fall at 120), Dakota Mastrantonio (forfeit at126), Brylee Friend (fall at 132), Lily Vesek (fall at 138), Aubrey Howe (fall at 145), Lilly Garrabrant (fall at 152) and Ellisa Bly (fall at 235).
In the Elmira match against Waverly the Express got wins by Alexis Collins (forfeit at 94 pounds), Alea Hartford (fall at 100) and Ayvah Coker (forfeit at 235).
For Corning in the win over Ithaca the Hawks got a forfeit win from Onalee Short (100) and Lauren Mahon (114), Emma Hadlock (132), Evelyn VanCamp (138), Rhyss Padgett (145) and Ava Northrup (185) had pins, Notrhup’s in 11 seconds.
In the Horseheads and Corning match the Hawks got forfeits from Short (100), Mahon (114) and Padgett (145) and Horseheads had forfeit wins by Sonya Dordoni (107), Howe (152), Garrabrant (165) and Bly (235). Gullo (126), Vesek (132) had pins for Horseheads and VanCamp (138) and Notrhup (185) had pins for Corning.
In the Elmira and Ithaca match the Express got pins from Emily Moldt (145) and technical fall wins by Atlantis Cherry (132) and Amelia Harrington (185) while Collins (94), Amber Mahmoud (100), Bella Maggese (120), Zany Deese (152), Marley Devlin (165) and Coker (235) had forfeit wins.
For Horseheads in the win over Ithaca Dordoni (114), Vesek (138) and Lily Adams (185) had pins and Gullo (120), Garrabrant (152) and Bly (235) had forfeit wins).
In the Elira match with U-E/M-E/Vestal the Express got a 12-9 win by Collins at 94 pounds and Mahmoud (100) had a forfeit win). Jaelynne Libruk (126) had a forfeit win and Cherry had a pin at 138. Moldt had a technical fall win at 152.
For Corning in the match with Waverly the hawks got pins by Mahon (114) and Padgett (152) and Short (100) had a technical fall win. Nortrhup received a forfeit (185).
In the Horseheads match with Waverly the Blue Raiders got pins by Dordoni (107), Gullo (120), Vesek (138) and Garrabrant (152). Bly (235) got a forfeit win.
In the Elmira and Corning match the Express got pins by Hartford (100) and Cherry (132), Collins (94), Mahmoud (107), Magese (120), Moldt (152), Devlin (165) and Coker (235) had forfeit wins. Mahon (114), Sadie Kio (126), Padgett (145) and Nortrhup (185) had pins for Corning and VanCamp had a forfeit win.
For Corning against U-E/M-E/Vestal the Hawks got pins by Mahon (114), Hadlock (132) and Padgett (145) and Notrhup (235). Short (100) and Kio (126) had forfeit wins.
Elmira got forfeits from Collins (94), Mahmoud (100), Addison White (114) and Devlin (165) against Horseheads. Cherry had a pin (132) and Amelia Harrington (185) had a pin. Libruk (126) had a technical fall win.
Horseheads got pins by Dordoni (107), Gullo (120), Howe (145), Garrabrant (152) and Bly (235). Vesek (138) had a forfeit win.
