Southern Tier Sports ReportENDWELL — The Corning boys’ basketball team moved to 9-0 on the year with a 85-72 road win at Maine-Endwell on Monday night.
Corning was up 24-21 after one quarter, but Maine-Endwell took a 45-40 lead into the half.
The Hawks outscored the Spartans 24-11 to take the lead before outscoring Maine-Endwell 21-16 in the fourth to seal the win.
Nolyn Proudfoot had a season-high 38 points, going 12-for-20 from the field and 5-for-8 from three. He was 9-for-10 from the line in the game. Proudfoot added three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a blocked shot in the game.
Kyler Stevenson had 17 points, with seven rebounds, three steals and an assist, and Carter Proudfoot had 13 points, eight boards, three assists and two steals.
Teigen Gill had eight points, three assists and three boards and Kohl Hogue had seven points, five boards, two steals, two assists and a blocked shot.
Joe Fucito had two points in the game.
Corning is at Ithaca at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
