STAC GIRLS' WRESTLING: ELMIRA HAS ONE CHAMP, TWO RUNNER-UP FINISHES AT STAC CHAMPIONSHIPS (18 PHOTOS) (2025-12-20)

CHENANGO FORKS — The Elmira Express had one champion and two runner-ups at the Girls’ STAC Wrestling Championships on Saturday.

Alexis Collins won the title at 94 pounds, pinning U-E’s Amirah Clinkscale in the final in 2:38 and at 100 pounds Alea Hartford was the runner-up. Hartford fell to Layla Orinik of Binghamton by fall in 2:29 in the final.

At 114 Elmira’s Ava Noonan was runner-up. She fell to Owego’s Ashlee Crawford-Bauer by fall in 48 seconds in the final. 

Amber Mahmoud of Elmira was fifth at 107. She pinned Lucy Purtell of Owego in 50 seconds in the fifth-place match.

Josalyn Irvin was fourth at 120. She fell to Macey Polhamus of SV in the third-place match by fall in 1:39. 

Atlantis Cherry of Elmira was third at 138. She pinned Amelia Wright of Waverly in 33 seconds in the third-place match. 

Amelia Harrington of Elmira was fifth at 185. She won by tech fall over Melina Ramos of Forks in the fifth-place match 11-1.

Ayvah Coker was fifth at 235. She pinned Chelsea Stoeckel of Windsor in the fifth-place match in 2:13.
