Southern Tier Sports ReportHORSEHEADS — The Horseheads Blue Raiders girls’ basketball team moved to 4-0 on the year with a 48-27 win over Vestal on Friday night.
Horseheads led 16-5 after one quarter on their way to the win.
Nine girls scored in the game and 11 contributed in the win.
“Good team win heading into the Josh Palmer Tourney,” Horseheads coach Andy Scott said.
Freshman Maggie Tremaine had nine points for Horseheads and Giana Hughey and Maddie Ribble each had eight points in the game.
Lexi Lese had six points for the Blue Raiders and Ellie Jankowski had five points.
Lauren Kozemko, Sadie Gustin, Mya Piecuch and Samantha Bonnell all had three points in the game.
