SECTION 4 BOYS' SWIMMING & DIVING: HORSEHEADS PICKS UP VICTORY OVER ELMIRA (2025-12-19)

HORSEHEADS — The Horseheads Blue Raiders boys’ swimming and diving team picked up an 81.5-74.5 win over Elmira on Friday, with the final three events being exhibitions for Horseheads. 

Horseheads won the 200 medley relay in 1:53.62. 

Nate Cady won the 200 free in 2:23.81 followed by teammate Joshua Nah in 2:25.14 and Jace Barr of Elmira in 2:25.74. 

MJ Carro won the 200 IM in 2:17.86 followed by Elmira’s James Lovell in 2:36.92 and Cameron Eden in 2:38.80.

Horseheads’ Kegan Monahan won the 50 free in 24.64 followed by Elmira’s Dayne Bush in 26.50 and Ethan Coleman in 27.55. 

Thang Tran of Horseheads won the 100 fly in 1:00.43 followed by Carro in 1:04.59 and Lovell in 1:13.24.

Horseheads’ Keegan Duart won the 100 free in 58.73 followed by teammate Owen Quick in 59.83 and Ethan Coleman of Elmira in 1:02.81. 

Tran won the 500 free in 6:07.42 followed by teammate Emmett Fifield in 6:21.48 and Henry Mletzko of Elmira in 6:55.02. 

Horseheads won the 200 free relay in 1:46.25. 

Eden won the 100 back in 1:09.24 followed by teammate Tyler Duncan in 1:17.18. Joe Wood of Horseheads had the top time as an exhibition in 1:04.46 with the Blue Raiders’ Ahmed Ibrahim third fastest in 1:11.50.

Bush won the 100 breaststroke in 1:19.39 followed by teammates Drew Reynolds (1:35.35) and Xavier Gabriel (2:07.65). Isaac Klesh of Horseheads had the top time as an exhibition in 1:18.22 and Elliott Snedecor had the third best time as an exhibition in 1:22.20.

Elmira won the 400 free relay in 4:16.75 with Horseheads having the best time, as an exhibition, in 4:04.85.
