Southern Tier Sports ReportBINGHAMTON — The Corning girls’ bowling team swept Binghamton on Monday, while the boys won 4-1.
For the girls Corning shot 832, 826 and 892 for a 2,550 and Binghamton shot 646, 664 and 550 for an 1,860.
Kylie Downing had the best series by a girls’ bowler in the area this year, shooting 221-235 and 266 for a 722 series.
Ayden Hartford shot 180-153-176-509 and Chelsea Wood shot 143-149-190-482, while Dakota Dickerson had a 164-147-134-445 and Jasmine Eirick shot 124-142-268 while Hailey Tangur shot 126 for one game.
For the boys Max Aponte had a 623 series to lead Corning and Jack Dunning shot 613. Owen Watson had a 226 game on the day and Bentley Goodier had a 215 game.
Dominic Bernthon had the high series on the day for Binghamton with a 688.
Corning hosts Johnson City on Wednesday.
