STAC GIRLS' BASKETBALL: GUSTIN HAS CAREER GAME AS HORSEHEADS EDGES M-E (24 PHOTOS) (2025-12-12)

HORSEHEADS — Sadie Gustin had a career day as the Horseheads girls’ basketball team picked up a 60-52 win over Maine-Endwell on Friday night.

Gustin had a career-best 19 points, along with 12 rebounds for a double-double. 

Maggie Tremaine finished with a career-best 16 points and Sam Bonnell had 10 points and eight assists. 

Maddie Ribble had 10 points and five steals in the game.

“Kids grinded out a win over a very talented M-E squad,” Horseheads coach Andy Scott said. “A very good, high school basketball game.”

After both teams scored 14 points in the opening quarter, the Blue Raiders went ahead 29-23 at the half. 

Both teams scored 14 in the third, before Horseheads outscored M-E 17-15 in the fourth.

Mya Piecuch had two points and Giana Hughey, Ellie Jankowski and Lauren Kozemko each had points in the game. 

Maine-Endwell got 17 points from Tessa L’Amoreaux and Harper Eagan had 12 points. L’Amoreaux had four threes in the game.
