SECTION 4 GIRLS' WRESTLING: ELMIRA COMPETES AT RED HAWKS DUALS (2025-12-07)

GROTON — The Elmira girls’ wrestling team went 2-5 on the day at the first annual Red Hawks Duals on Saturday.

Elmira fell to Minisink Valley 48-14, they fell to Middletown 51-12, fell to Columbia 35-29 and Groton 35-29, beat West Genesee 35-24, fell to Alexander-Pembroke 33-29 and beat Canandaigua Academy 25-23. 

Against Minisink Valley the Express got a win from Amber Mahmoud, a forfeit win by Marley Devlin and a pin by Ayvah Coker. 

Josalyn Irvin had a pin for Elmira against Middletown and Emily Moldt had a pin. 

Alexis Collins, Alea Hartford and Moldt had pins, Atlantis Cherry and Amelia Harrington had forfeit wins and Devlin had a technical fall win against Groton. 

Collins had a forfeit win, Hartford had a technical fall, Irvin, Cherry and Mahmoud had pins against Columbia.

Irvin had a technical fall win against Alexander-Pembroke-Byron and Moldt won a decision, Cherry had a pin and Devlin, Coker and Harrington had forfeit wins. 

Collins, Irvin, Devlin and Ava Noonan had forfeit wins against West Genesee and Hartford, Cherry and Harrington had pins. 

In the win over Canandaigua Hartford and Bella Maggese each had a forfeit win Cherry, Coker and Devlin had pins. 

Cherry was picked as the MVP of the day for Elmira.
