Southern Tier Sports ReportCOHOCTON — The Corning boys’ basketball team opened the season with a 71-31 win over Ocean at the Wayland-Cohocton Hall of Fame Showcase Classic on Saturday.
Nolyn Proudfoot had 30 points and six rebounds and was named the player of the game. Proudfoot had his points in the first three quarters.
Kyler Stevenson and Carter Proudfoot each had 11 points in the game.
Arda German had seven points and Teigen Gill and Brady Johnston had four points each.
Cooper Bange, Kohl Hogue and Joe Fucito all had two points and Dylan Brewster had a point.
Corning is at Elmira at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
