Southern Tier Sports ReportJOHNSON CITY — The Elmira boys’ basketball team opened the season with a 65-53 win over Johnson City on Thursday night.
Darien Harris had 15 points and three rebounds, with six steals and four assists in the win and Zack Conklin had 14 points, six boards, three steals and two assists.
Kari Woodard had 13 points and three rebounds, with a steal, and Julian Colon had 12 points, three boads and an assist.
Drew Clearwater and Carter Sherman each had four points and Clearwater had a steal and a rebound, while Sherman had a steal.
Malaki Banks had a point and four rebounds.
Elmira won the JV game 80-20.
