Southern Tier Sports ReportCorning graduate Mike Naylor was part of a team that made the NCAA Division III Niagara Region Cross Country Championshipsfor Nazareth.
He began the season as the 14th runner on the team, and ended up top seven heading into regionals.
Naylor was fifth at the Empire 8 Championships. Naylor was sixth on the team and 45th overall in 28:49.4.
Another Corning grad, Hayden Allington of Brockport, finished 47th in 28:53. Elmira grad Ben Klee of Alfred was 88th in 32:36.
On the women’s side Corning grad Ella Grinnell was 17th for Geneseo. Corning grad Olivia Grinnell of St. John Fisher was 24th in 24:13.3.
