ELMIRA — Horseheads won the Class A division at the Elmira Invitational on Saturday.
Horseheads was at 359, followed by Corning (255). Elmira was fourth at 204.
Maine-Endwell won Class B at 398 and Lansing won Class C at 304. Notre Dame was fourth at 148.
The event raised $185 for WINK from the Splash For Cure Event.
In the diving Horseheads’ Makenzie Blauvelt was third at 435.95, less than five points off the state standard. Isadora Cyr of Elmira was seventh at 276.20 and Rylynn Augustine of Horseheads was 10th at 248.40. Owego’s Ayla Young won at 548.50.
Corning was second in the 200 medley relay in 1:57.10 with a team of Nicole iMiller, Alexys Nale, Alyssa Reimsnyder and Maria Kuksenkova. Ali Mosher, Genevieve Carro, Mia Carro and Karina Lapierre of Horseheads took third at 1:57.19 and Elmira’s Madelyn Cavalier, Maren Novotny, Aubrey Newkirk and Leah Church took fifth at 2:07.69.
Corning’s Ellie Ballard won the 200 free in 2:05.70 with Genevieve Carro of Horseheads fourth in 2:09.49. Lily Hall of Horseheads was 0th in 2:16.82.
Mia Carro of Horseheads won the 200 IM in 2:16.97 with Mosher fourth in 2:26.58. Leah Gonzalez of Notre Dame was ninth in 2:34.41.
Nale took fourth in the 50 free in 25.44 and Lapierre was sixth in 25.83. Charlotte Welliver of Notre Dame was ninth in 27.14 followed by Kuksenkova in 27.15.
Mia Carro won the 100 fly in 1:00.52, just .5 off the state standard and Reimsnyder was fifth in 1:07.02. Cavalier was seventh in 1:08.48 and Reese Collier of Horseheads was 10th in 1:11.65.
Kuksenkova was fourth in the 100 free in 1:00.15 and Maeve Manwaring of Horseheads was ninth in 1:00.95.
Ballard was second in the 500 free in 5:35.88 and Gonzalez was eighth in 6:00.71 with Lizzy Brown of Horseheads 10th in 6:04.47.
Mia Carro, Mosher, Genevieve Carro and Lapierre took second in the 200 free relay in 1:44.08 and Kuksenkova, Leah Muckey, Reimsnyder and Ballard were fourth in 1:50.10.
Lapierre was second in the 100 back in 1:01.68 and Mosher took fifth in 1:04.22 followed by Miller (1:08.37). Cavalier was 10th in 1:09.45.
Nale won the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.39 with Genevieve Carro fourth in 1:17.77 and Lillian Spicher of Horseheads eighth in 1:21.93.
Ballard, Muckey, Miller and Nale took sixth in the 400 free relay in 4:11.73 followed by Manwaring, Brown, Jackie Mayotte and Hall took seventh in 4:15.29 and Church, Novotny, Newkirk and Cavalier took eighth in 4:18.54 followed by Welliver, Ella Cain, Hannah Gonzalez and Leah Gonzalez in 4:26.42.
