Southern Tier Sports ReportTIOGA — The Corning JV volleyball team won the Tioga Tournament on Saturday.
Corning was unbeaten through pool play, and beat Candor in the semifinals and then Ithaca in the championship, 25-10.
ON the day Sophie Schoonover had 28 kills, 18 points, seven aces, six digs and two blocks and Reagan Terwilliger had 21 kills, 14 points and seven aces.
Alexis Topper had 44 assists, 21 points and six aces and Hannah Kauffman had 31 points, 12 aces and eight digs.
Abbey McLaughlin and Gabbi Hurd contributed 11 and seven kills respectively.
Corning’s JV will take the court on Thursday as they host Union-Endicott.
